Reverend Major Bull was born in Oakland, California and resided in Capitola.
He was a Congregational minister who married more than 500 couples. He retired in 1983. He was a member of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches and the Shriners. He was a rose gardener and established the Howard E. Bull Rose Garden in the Community Church of Monterey Peninsula.
He served at Churches in Marne , Saranac, and Birmingham, Michigan; Beloit, Wisconsin; Evanston, Illinois; Carmel and Soquel, California.
He is survived by daughters Marjorie Witt of Lafayette and Marilyn Bull of Piedmont; son Donald Bull of Wirtz, Va.; sisters Vivianne Hayman of Walnut Creek, Patricia Jacob of Fremont and Anita Moe of Grass Valley; brothers Mac Bull of Lafayette and Keith Bull of Grass Valley; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Son Harvey Bull died in 1983 and his wife, Doris Revheim Bull, died in 1973.
