Helix Scandinavica was formed in 1994. Initially the club was open to collectors from Scandinavia. Today associate memberships are accepted. Members receive a newsletter and the group is governed by a chairman, a treasurer and chief-correspondent.

Annual meetings have been held in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
