CORKSCREWS IN NEW YORK

On March 1, 1997 Bonnie and I made our semi-annual pilgrimage to New York City for the Triple Pier Antique Show. 600 dealers set up on three ship piers in February-March and November. My purchases (above) this time were not much to write about but at least I found something. The silver T-handle with bell and silver Nifty were the good finds. I already have too many golf bags (although this one in original box was a bargain), silver boots, and bottle shaped knives. I wouldn't normally purchase any more "gotta-go's" but this one was unusual in that it has a lighter under the head:

Bonnie found a great flower frog which you should see on her Flower Frog Gazette page soon. Corkscrew dealers Joel Goodman and Guy Weil were exhibiting. Corkscrew dealer Mike Gordon was looking. And collector Howard Luterman was buying!
