Flower Frog Gazette

German Pressed Glass

These satin glass flower frogs can now be attributed to August Walther & Söhne, a pressed glass manufacturer located in Ottendorf-Okrilla (near Dresden), Germany. They appear in catalog pages from 1934-1936. The figure is on a base that fits into the flower holder. More Photos

The figures featured on this page also appear in the 1953 and 1965 catalogs of VEB Sachsenglas, Ottendorf-Okrilla. The company used the molds acquired from August Walther and Söhne.

This information was submitted to the FFG by Siegmar Geiselberger who is a collector of pressed glass and has a website at www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de.
He has supplied the catalog pages from 1936.
