Steak Joint Korker
In response to your request in the January 25 edition to find out if anyone ever mailed a Steak Joint cork puller to a friend, please find the attached evidence. Mine was mailed to E. J. Kaplan in Arlington, VA. The prong cover is missing on mine.
Frank Marshall, Seattle Washington
Editor: It looks like the Postal Service did not treat Kaplan's gift with kindness. It was interesting to note the addition of the advertising on the sides of your prong puller handle "Dan Stampler's Steak Joint, In Greenwich Village, New York City."
Where is this guy from?
Wirtz, Virginia - Anyone seen this guy before? He's 5" tall and he's copper plated. The body is a solid block of wood with a 2 3/4" base diameter and has a hole drilled to accommodate the worm. He's wearing a leather vest. Anyone know where he comes from?
