Wirtz, Virginia - The corkscrew and cap lifter characters behind the bar are often misidentified as Punch and Judy or other comic characters. They are indeed none other than Andy Capp and Flo. Andy Capp was created in 1957 by Reg Smythe and the comic strip first appeared in London's The Daily Mirror.
