Steinbach-Hallenberg, Germany, June 15, 1926 - Karl Wahl has obtained a registration for
his folding bow which incorporates a cap lifter. There's really nothing new and exciting in Wahl's idea other than the melding of two implements that have been around for a long time. The folding bows with corkscrews and a variety of other tools were produced back in the 19th Century. In America, Edwin Walker patented a wire formed cap lifter in 1915. The cap lifters were produced in great quantities in America for advertising purposes.
