Knife Sold for $922.00

Scotland - A silver knife recently sold on an Internet auction site for US$922.00. The English sterling silver corkscrew/knife had a 1909 Chester Hallmark and was produced by the Sampson Mordan Company. The knife was a presentation piece with this inscription: To J. Nairne Campbell, Perth from the "Squire" 22.9.1909.

The knife has a two piece folding corkscrew blade for maximum extension and penetration of the cork. There are two knife blades and a foil cutter.
