Triple Play
Haute Garonne, France, August 13, 1934 - Eugène Edmon Charles Serre has been granted French Patent Number 772,202. His invention is a folding bow which will perform three functions - bottle cap lifter, cork remover, and glass cutter. The prongs swivel into place by squeezing them together. The longest prong is inserted between the bottle and the cork and by rocking back and forth, the second penetrates the opposite side. Once in place, the whole assembly is twisted to break the adhesion between cork and bottle then lifter to extract the cork.
