On a crisp morning a throng of people gathered for the erection of the Water Tower at Park Place. Developer Jim McKelvey purchased the tower from the old Naval Test Station Site in Rocky Mount. There it was dismantled and brought by David Falwell to the open field knoll at Park Place. The tower soars to 125 feet and has a capacity of 100,000 gallons. It will service the community of 119 waterfront lots in Park Place
