Blasting Day
On January 15 the crew from GGC Drilling and Blasting drilled four foot deep holes in the rock in preparation for setting off 32 sticks of dynamite. Charges were placed for sequential blasting and each would take 25 milliseconds. Total time for the operation would be 800 milliseconds (less than one second).
Owner Ed Giuffre blew a horn and set the charge.
